Edwardian Conservatory with Equinox Tiled Roof

The owners of this lovely Nottinghamshire home added a beautiful new Edwardian conservatory installed by Jackson Windows in 2018, and have now decided to upgrade the conservatory roof from glass to an Equinox tiled roof. Equinox roof includes proper insulation, just like the roof on your house, to control the temperature in your conservatory so it feels comfortable and ‘just right’ the whole year around.

Equinox tiles are made out of ultra-lightweight glass reinforced plastic (GRP), a limestone and polypropylene blend or a light gauge steel. All of these are a fraction of the weight of traditional tiles. So they’ll sit easily on an existing conservatory, along with the aluminium frame, timber battens and plasterboard ceiling panels, without putting any extra strain on it at all. The owners opted for the slate grey tone which blends very well with the rest of the property. The extension is now filled with natural light while the temperature in the room stays pleasant and warm during the cold days we are currently experiencing. Energy efficiency at its best!

The owners are delighted with the new roof and have commented: “New tiled roof on and what a difference it makes, much more useable and warm in there now! We can recommend having a tiled roof on your conservatory, and let Jackson Windows do it for you!”
