Our Window & Door Installation Process
Choosing new windows and doors is a considerable investment in your home. At Jackson Windows, we believe the quality of the experience should match the quality of the finished installation. Since 1995, we have manufactured and installed bespoke windows and doors for homes across Lincolnshire, combining local craftsmanship with experienced advice, careful installation and dependable aftercare.
1: Consultation
Unique Homes Need Expert Advice
Every home is different, so every Jackson Windows project starts with a conversation. Our experienced designers will take the time to understand your property, priorities, style and budget. Whether you are replacing a single entrance door, choosing double glazed windows for your home, or renovating a period property, our aim is to help you make an informed decision, without pressure.
Our knowledgeable designers will show you available window and door styles, uPVC and aluminium options, colours, glazing, hardware, security and energy efficiency. You can also visit our extensive Lincoln showroom to see and compare products, finishes and materials for yourself.
2: Our Lincoln Showroom
See the Difference for Yourself
Choosing new windows and doors is much easier when you can see, touch and compare the options in person. Our extensive window and door showroom in Lincoln gives you the opportunity to explore a wide selection of products, materials, colours, finishes, glazing and hardware before making your decision.
Compare uPVC windows and aluminium windows, explore different opening styles, try our entrance and patio doors and see the details that can be difficult to appreciate from a brochure or screen. Our team will be on hand to answer questions and explain the differences between products, with absolutely zero pressure to buy, guaranteed.
3: Survey
Technical Evaluation With No Surprises
Once you decide to go ahead, your project moves to our survey stage, following a two-week cooling-off period for peace of mind. One of our experienced surveyors will visit your property and take detailed measurements and technical information needed to custom-make and install your new glazing correctly. The survey is also an opportunity to identify important considerations such as property access before manufacturing begins.
For unique properties, particularly older, character and heritage-style homes and barn conversions for which customers often choose Jackson Windows, our expertise is particularly important. Our Jackson Windows teams are highly regarded as experts in handling complex and heritage projects.
5: Fabrication
Made Locally in Lincoln
Your new windows are not simply ordered and delivered to us from elsewhere. Jackson Windows manufactures its bespoke double glazed and triple glazed products locally at our Lincoln uPVC, aluminium and glass factories, where our experienced craftsmen produce made-to-measure frames for your Lincolnshire or Nottinghamshire home. In-house manufacturing gives us far greater control of the process from survey to finished product, with products manufactured to, and exceeding recognised UK standards for quality and performance.
Whether you choose energy-efficient uPVC windows, contemporary aluminium bifold doors, or bespoke heritage glazing suited to a traditional property, your products are designed and crafted uniquely for your property.
6: Communication
Keeping You Informed
A premium installation is so much more than just installing glazing. Our teams work many complex projects and communication is crucial. Throughout your project, our team will keep you informed as your order progresses from survey and manufacture through to installation. Our customer officers will be regularly in touch, from giving you options for your fitting date, to confirming arrangements ahead of your scheduled installation.
We make it clear what happens next, when we need something from you and when you can expect to hear from us. If circumstances change or an issue needs resolving, our team will work with you to agree the next steps. It is all part of our commitment to making your window or door replacement smooth and stress-free.
7: Installation
Experienced Fitters, Professional Workmanship
Even the best-made premium windows and doors can only perform at their best when they are installed correctly. Our experienced installation teams have been fitting bespoke glazing locally for over 30 years with care, precision and respect for the property they are working in.
We know that having work carried out in your home can be stressful and disruptive. Our installation teams treat our customers’ homes as if they were their own. They take considerate steps to protect working areas while your project is underway and work carefully around your home and belongings. Once installation is complete, we clear away installation-related waste and leave your home clean and tidy.
For us, professional installation isn’t only about how your new windows and doors look. It’s about the feeling when you know that you have made the right choice by opting for Jackson Windows.
8: FENSA Compliance, Guarantees and Aftercare
Exceptional Aftercare From Our Engineers
Jackson Windows is FENSA registered, meaning applicable replacement window and door installations comply with the latest Building Regulations. We also provide comprehensive product and installation guarantees, with many systems guaranteed for up to 10 years.
Our relationship with our customers does not end on installation day. We believe good aftercare is a crucial part of choosing a local window and door company. If you have a question or believe something needs attention after your installation, our local team is here to help. Unlike many other glazing suppliers, we employ our own team of experienced remedial engineers. Contact us, and will assess the issue and, if needed, arrange for our remedial engineers to come out. It’s that simple!
